So today I was determined to get out of the house! It's nice to have lazy days and enjoy doing absolutely NOTHING in your pajamas, but when that next day hits, ya just have to get outta the house and do something, otherwise you'll get cabin fever... So, I got up, weighed myself on Wii Fit, like I do every morning, checked facebook, served the food in my Cafe on facebook, went outside and pet my kitties, fed them, and then realized I had yet again spent the entire morning in my pajamas... If ya ever wonder where the time goes, that's where it goes.
Thankfully Julie texted me and said she was going to hit up a Target down the street from her work on her lunch break to see if there was anymore Christmas clearance there. I texted back to ask why she didn't tell me sooner, I woulda put some clothes on (other than my pajamas) and met her up there.
Then I hear the words I needed to hear all morning "Just toss on some clothes and meet me up there!" Really? I can just toss on some clothes? So I did...She had my coffee ready (actually a Tall Chai Tea Latte with Soy) so that was even better! I saw that she had also already picked up about 15 sets of earrings... well, more like 15 cards with 3 earring sets each on them... and only 69 cents each! That in itself was totally worth it! But as we walked back to the rows that used to be Christmas clearance, we were totally bummed. There was only 1 endcap left of clearance and we went through ALL of it... Found a few present tags, a box of cookie mix, and even a set of halloween boxes... It didn't ring up, so thought I'd take it through the line anyway to check it out. The manager ended up giving it to me for 12 cents so that was pretty awesome. Julie had to go back to work, so we got our stuff and left...
I made it home in time to watch my mom take the Christmas tree out to the backyard haha. I say "watched" because I went to help her and she already got it out. It's great to have the Christmas tree in the house during the holidays, but now it just feels good to have it out of the house. There's more room, it's cleaner, so it's kinda like out with the old in with the new. Now it's tim
e to move on to the new year.So I got a little bit of downtime for a couple of hours while dad and mom went to dad's acupuncture appointment... I then got ready (for real this time) so I could meet them later for dinner. I straightened my hair and headed out the door just to get caught in traffic on my way to the restaurant... I finally get there and look everywhere for my parents and they are nowhere to be found. I find out that I'm not actually at Applebee's, but at Chili's down the street. Imagine my frustration after sitting forever in traffic trying to get there. Finally made it to Applebee's and sat down just in time to order...
FINALLY! Rhonda, bro-in-law, and nieces were also there. We had a nice dinner, topped it off with a Strawberry Cheesecake shot (as they call it), and before we left, Rachel was high-5ing the hostesses. They absolutely loved her and she was just adorable in her Christmas dress (that she loves to wear). All in all, it was a pretty productive day. Some joys, some tears, some sweat... All in a days work.
